ROCK HILL, S.C.,None — A black bear is now roaming the streets in Rock Hill.
Police took several calls Monday morning from people who have seen the bear near Main and White streets and the Castle Heights Area.
Officers are setting up traps to catch the bear.
The Rock Hill Herald reported that this is the first time in the 30 years a bear has been spotted in the city.
Last month, there were two bear sightings in Charlotte. In the second instance, the animal was killed when an SUV collided with it on Interstate 77 near Sunset Road.
