CPCC student attacked, robbed

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Police are looking for two suspects in connection with the attack and robbery of a Central Piedmont Community College student.

CPCC sent a notice to students advising them that on Tuesday, "at approximately 1 p.m. a student was the victim of an off campus robbery along Elizabeth Avenue near Central Campus. During the incident, two suspects reportedly took the student's personal property by force."

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police is investigating the case because it happened off-campus. However, police did not have any additional information Wednesday afternoon.

CPCC said the victim is a male student who suffered bumps and bruises from being pushed to the ground.

"Even though there's security out here, maybe there needs to be a lot more," said Camisha Roseborough, a Sophomore at CPCC. "If someone is getting robbed at 1 in the afternoon and it's like a lot of people out here in the daylight, then who knows what else can happen?"
