The most expensive home sale in Mecklenburg County last month was found in Myers Park. That nearly 5,000-square-foot home on Sherwood Avenue sold mid-month for $2.75 million.

In addition to housing four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms and features such as English oak hardwood floors, a finished basement and a dog-washing station in the garage, the property also includes outdoor elements like a covered porch, a pool and hot tub, an outdoor shower and a children’s play area.

Located on about a half-acre lot, the home was built in 1927.

Homes in Myers Park accounted for half of the county’s 10 priciest residential sales in September. Other neighborhoods on the list include Foxcroft, Elizabeth, Eastover, Lookout Point in Huntersville and The Peninsula in Cornelius. The homes range in price from just shy of $1.56 million to $2.75 million.
