Victim identified in fatal southeast Charlotte pedestrian crash

CHARLOTTE — One person was killed in a crash involving a pedestrian in southeast Charlotte Saturday morning.

CMPD responded to a call for a CSX train versus pedestrian in the 9500 block of Monroe Road around 9:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found Daniel Kotrman, 48, unresponsive.

MEDIC pronounced him dead on the scene.
