14-year-old arrested after pointing gun near strawberry festival in Fort Mill

FORT MILL, S.C. — A 14-year-old was arrested for pointing a gun at two other juveniles Saturday evening near the South Carolina Strawberry Festival in Fort Mill.

Officers who were on duty at the festival responded.

Police said the teenager confronted the victim while pointing the gun and making threats at him and another juvenile who was accompanying him.

Investigators determined the incident the result of issues before the Strawberry Festival.

The teenager was identified and he was located and taken into custody a short time later by Fort Mill police officers in the area of Wells Fargo Bank on Tom Hall Street.

The teenager has been charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm and one count of second-degree assault and battery.
