$1,400 in fishing lures stolen from Galleria Walmart

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Nearly $1,400 in fishing lures were stolen from the Galleria Walmart in Rock Hill.

An employee at the Dave Lyle Boulevard store discovered someone had taken numerous Rapala-brand fishing lures sometime between March 6 and Tuesday, when it was reported, according to a Rock Hill police report.

The employee received a tip about the theft from a man who claimed he was a loss prevention investigator, the report states.

The stolen lures are worth about $1,398.19, the report states. According to the Rapala website, the cost of lures ranges between $6 and $20.
