CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two men were arrested and charged with murder in the death of a 19-year-old man last month in northeast Charlotte.

Damien Mackins' body was found in a wooded area near three churches, Dorothy J. Vaughan Academy of Technology, and Newell Neighborhood Park.
Police arrested Mykel Washington, 19, on Wednesday for robbery charges stemming from an incident before the murder. After being interviewed, Washington was charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in relation to Mackins' death.
Detectives also identified Andre Clark, 19, as a second suspect in the case. Clark was arrested Thursday morning and charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Investigators have not said if the suspects knew the victim.
