Intruders rob, beat person with disabilities inside southeast Charlotte home

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is looking for two men who forced their way into someone’s home and beat them up at gunpoint.

Officials said the attack happened on July 9 on Springfield Gardens Drive off Idlewild Road in southeast Charlotte.

Two men robbed and beat the victim, who is physically handicapped, police said. The suspects stole the victim’s money and some personal items.

Crime Stoppers is asking for people with any information to call 911.
