CRAMERTON, N.C. — Four people were arrested Wednesday night after Cramerton officers said a shot was fired at an officer.
Officers responded to a disturbance call at 8:40 p.m. on North Main Street.
A man fired a shot from a 9 mm handgun at officer T.C. Branch when he arrived, police said in a news release Thursday.
Four people were taken into custody.
Devin Richard Killian, 27, was charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, conspiracy to commit burglary, discharging a firearm within the town limits and attempted first-degree murder. He is being held in the Gaston County jail without bond.
Kevin Jason Cook, 28, was charged with first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. He is being held on a $150,000 secured bond.
Paul William Killian, 29, was charged with first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. He is being held in the Gaston County jail on a $100,000 secured bond.
Lane Clinton Killian, 24, was charged with first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. He is being held in the Gaston County jail on a $50,000 secured bond.
Officials said it is not clear what lead to the original 911 call. The people who were arrested know each other. No injuries were reported.
