• 4 arrested for violating Hidden Valley Kings gang injunction

    Updated:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police arrested four people for violating a gang injunction in north Charlotte.

Ernest Cash, Shari Harris, Dontavius Newton and James Ratliff face charges.

Police have not said how they violated the injunction, just that it happened on Monteith Drive Wednesday just before midnight.

A court order made it a crime for notorious Charlotte gang members to talk to each other.

The injunction allows officers to arrest members of Hidden Valley Kings if they associate with each other, carry guns or recruit new members.

Officers want a judge to put another injunction in place when this one expires Aug. 17.
