CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — 911 emergency phone lines were having technical problems and could not be reached by landlines in Caldwell, Alexander, Catawba and Lincoln Counties Tuesday evening.
The issues in Caldwell County were resolved early Wednesdya morning.
AT&T was alerted of the problem at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
The outages are due to an AT&T issue and could be more widespread.
Cellphones have been tested to make sure they work for 911 calls.
