CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A residential sale of more than $2.5 million in the exclusive Seven Eagles neighborhood registered as Mecklenburg County’s priciest in the month of December.

The south Charlotte home sold for $2.54 million in early December — about 18.2% less than when it went on the market for $3.1 million last May, according to its listing on Realtor.com. That asking price took a cut over the summer to $2.93 million.
The new owners bought the 9,469-square-foot estate on Seven Eagles Road for 22.7% less than what it previously sold for — $3.28 million in March 2012, according to county real estate records. The home’s listing history shows it had also hit the market in the summer of 2016, priced just shy of $4 million, before coming off in the fall of 2017 at $3.5 million.
