The ACC said it will make a decision in late July on how its college football schedule will look amid COVID-19, ESPN reported.
Conference commissioner John Swofford said in a statement Friday that it will delay most fall sports until September, except football.
Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby told ESPN that his league is “kind of on the same schedule.”
“Over the last few months, our conference has prepared numerous scenarios related to the fall athletics season,” Swofford said in the statement. “The league membership and our medical advisory group will make every effort to be as prepared as possible during these unprecedented times, and we anticipate a decision by our board of directors in late July.”
The Big Ten also just announced it will only play conference games in the fall. This was the first drastic move to a college football schedule by a Power Five conference during the pandemic.
