GASTONIA, N.C. — A North Carolina Amber Alert was canceled Saturday evening for a missing 3-year-old girl.
Officials said Kaysie Jay Lipscomb was found safe in Union County near Woodstar Road in Stallings.
The Gastonia Police Department was searching for Kaysie who they believe was abducted by 31-year-old Raheem Tyshawn Pate in Gaston County.
Authorities said they found Pate hiding in a nearby vehicle. He was arrested on unrelated charges, including possession a firearm by a felon and violating a domestic violence protection order. Pate is being held at the Union County jail.
No other details have been released at this point.
Kaysie is described as being approximately 2 feet tall and weighing 40 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Kaysie was last seen wearing blue tights with polka dots and snowflakes on them.
Officials described Pate as being 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and is missing two teeth.
Police said Pate was traveling in a white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu with a North Carolina license plate, number HLE9661.
