Looking for love? Charlotte ranked No. 2 in survey for 'Best cities for dating'

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte ranked at number two for Apartment List’s 2019 'Best cities for dating.'

Apartment List said it used survey data from over 9,000 single users from across the U.S.

For single people trying to find love in a new place to call home, Charlotte may be one of your best chances of success.

The study showed cities that have large populations and strong job markets ranked higher on the list.

Here are a few highlights from the study:

• Austin, Texas ranked the top city for dating, with 39.8 percent of singles reporting satisfaction with dating opportunities, while Charlotte was at 37.74 percent.
• Palm Bay, Florida came in last place, with only 10.7 percent of singles satisfied with their dating opportunities.
• Millennials ranked Charlotte as the top city for dating, while they rated Riverside, California the lowest.
• Overall, men tend to view their dating experiences more positively than women: on average, 35 percent of men rated themselves satisfied, compared to 25 percent of women.
• Charlotte is ranked at number 4 for the best city for dating by college-educated individuals.
• Men are more satisfied with dating in Charlotte, whereas women are more satisfied in Austin.
