BOONE, N.C. — An Appalachian State professor suspended for showing porn to students will meet with school administrators Monday to find out if she will keep her job.
The university said it received complaints from four students over a movie she showed in class that criticizes the porn industry.
Sociology professor Dr. Jammie Price said she found it in the school library.
The school ordered Price to stay out of classrooms while it investigates.
“College isn’t supposed to be about ‘Show me flowers and tell me about all the lovely things in life.’ You’re supposed to learn about what’s happening, and what’s happening in our world is not all bubblegum,” she said.
Price delivered a petition with 350 signatures to the university to try to keep her job.
