NEWTON, N.C. — Authorities in Newton seized several firearms and cash after an armed robbery occurred at about 10 p.m. Monday night at the Skill Games at 820 Conover Blvd. West.
After the robbery, a Newton police officer and backup patrols pulled over a Chevrolet Camaro that matched the getaway vehicle’s description.
Three were apprehended at the Valero gas station on N.C. Highway 10 and one tried to flee. That suspect was quickly subdued and placed into custody, authorities said.
Authorities found the weapons and cash inside the Camaro.
Anthony Lechez Drayton, 24, of Greenville, S.C., was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed under a $100,000 secured bond.
Delana Cineta Young, 34, of Greenville, S.C., was charged with aid and abet armed robbery, carrying concealed weapon and injury to personal property. She received a $100,000 secured bond.
Shawnteza Lashay Sherman, 34, of Greenville, S.C., was charged with robbery with dangerous weapon. She is under a $100,000 secured bond.
Nathaniel Leon Crosby, 29, of Greenville, S.C., was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, carrying concealed gun and resisting public officer. He received a $125,000 secured bond.
