CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police announced the arrest of a suspect in a cold case rape investigation that goes back 28 years.
Detectives have charged Louis Brown with the attack at a home in Plaza Midwood in October 1991.

Police said Brown broke into a home on Belvedere Avenue and tried to sexually assault an 85-year-old woman before she fought him off.
Brown is now in custody in South Carolina.
