Ashe Co. pastor accused of sex offense with person in his care

ASHE COUNTY, N.C. — An Ashe County pastor was arrested Thursday on six sexual criminal charges, according to the Ashe County Sheriff's Office.
 
The Rev. Billy Howard Guy, known as Bill Guy, was arrested after a lengthy investigation.
 
The investigation began in July 2013 and concerned a mentally-challenged person who was placed in the care of Guy and his wife, Dianne. 
 
Guy was charged with one count felony sexual offense, one count felony second-degree sexual offense and three counts of sexual battery.  He was arrested Thursday and released on a secured bond.  His first appearance will be Thursday.
 
In an earlier case, Guy's wife, Dianne Guy, has been arrested on charges of multiple counts of embezzlement stemming from allegedly taking the victim's Social Security funds. 
 
Dianne Guy bonded and is awaiting trial.
