Attacks on police taking toll on law enforcement community -- and their families

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Recent acts of violence against local police officers, leaving two dead and two others wounded, have left the community scarred and shocked.

Channel 9 anchor Genevieve Curtis spent time in Kings Mountain on Monday, the site of the latest violence.

Two of those officers grew up in Kings Mountain and the shootings are weighing heavily on the community -- but it’s also taking a toll on law enforcement and their families.
