GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — The brother of a man accused of a double homicide was arrested Monday, charged with accessory after the fact for first-degree murder.
Darrell Wayne Rivers, 39, was arrested by the Gaston Police Department, with assistance from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.
Darrell Rivers is the brother of Peter James Rivers Jr., who was charged with the first-degree murders of Bridget Berry and her son, Treyvon Berry.

Darrell Rivers is accused of helping his brother after the deaths by providing him with advice and instructions on how to avoid apprehension, police said.
Berry's sister opened up about her loss.
“(Nobody would) really think it would actually happen to their family," Toni McCall said.
McCall says her family is still trying to process what happened to her sister and nephew.
"Bridgette was a good woman. She was real good, liked to have fun. She was just fun and she played a big part in TJ's school."
