CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte City Council will decide whether to allocate $1.5 million in COVID-19 funds to the Excelsior Club project.

This has been a decision that has been ongoing for weeks.

Two developers want to tear down and rebuild the historic Washington Heights property.

The county approved $1.5 million in taxpayer dollars earlier this week.
