CHARLOTTE — A federal government grant is providing $5 million to Charlotte City Council to study ways to make safer roads.
The city plans to use the money to audit high crash corridors, analyze potential infrastructure improvements and conduct public engagement.
The funding comes from former president Joe Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure law.
Charlotte City Council will vote to accept the grant on Monday.
