Charlotte daycare holds parade to bring joy to children during pandemic (WSOC)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Workers at the only KinderCare open in Charlotte had a parade Sunday to put smiles on the faces of kids who usually go there.

Employees stood in the parking lot on Sunday morning at the daycare location on Park Road as parents and kids drove through to say hi.

“We are just letting them drive through and see the teachers. The teachers will wave and just show their love for the children and let the kids, you know, enjoy the excitement of it. We just hope it brings them joy,” said Kim Doster, who works at KinderCare.

Staff said they hope the kids know their teachers love and miss them.
