HOLDEN BEACH, N.C. — A Charlotte man was one of three people who drowned in the Wilmington area last weekend, officials said.
Officials said 20-year-old Patryck Bass died at a hospital following a reported drowning at Holden Beach on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the drowning on Ocean Boulevard West near the Holden Beach Fishing Pier.
Officials said bystanders applied CPR, and Bass was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
