CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte woman is on a mission to make Christmas special for children who have had a difficult year.
Some of the children have a brother or sister who died. One family lost everything they owned in a house fire in November and the daughter was just released from the hospital after being severely burned.
Gloria Howard organized gifts and a celebration Saturday for kids who have experienced traumas and stress in 2019.
“Every day is Christmas to me. I love to see children happy,” said Howard.
