FORT MILL, S.C. — A chemical manufacturer is expanding its York County operation, making way for 16 new jobs and a $5.5 million investment.
Nation Ford Chemical announced Wednesday it was in the process of expanding its product line and would be building a new chemical production area on its Fort Mill campus.
The expansion is expected to be completed by November, the company said.
“The expansion will give us the opportunity to add to our product range and increase our market share,” said Jay Dickson, the president of Nation Ford Chemical.
The company will produce a new antioxidant used in manufacturing lubricants.
“Nation Ford Chemical has been part of the state’s business community for more than 30 years, and we celebrate the company’s decision to invest $5.5 million and create more new jobs in Fort Mill,” said Gov. Nikki Haley.
In 2011, South Carolina recruited more than $4.7 billion in investments and more than 13,000 new jobs in the manufacturing sector.
The company is in the process of hiring for the new positions. To apply, contact Janice Giroux by email.
