NORTH CAROLINA — Chrysler is recalling its 2009 models of the Ram 1500 as well as the Dodge Dakota.
Chrysler says a malfunction with thousands of its trucks could cause drivers to lose control on the road.
One crash has already been reported.
Safety officials say a lack of adhesive can cause a rear axle nut to come loose, making the axle lock up and the driver to lose control.
Chrysler says affected drivers will be notified within the next month.
