CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers called in air support to search for a man they said is behind a drive-by shooting late Saturday night.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on Hidden Forest Drive about a mile east of Sugaw Creek Park.
A police helicopter shined search lights over the Hidden Valley neighborhood after midnight.
The suspect shot a woman in the leg, according to police. She is expected to recover.
Channel 9 asked police for a description of the suspect, but they said the victim didn't see who shot her.
