CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a fatal crash in east Charlotte.
Police said the crash occurred on the inner loop on Interstate 485 near Albemarle Road.
MEDIC said one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Traffic is being diverted onto Harrisburg Road for all inner loop traffic, according to police.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes if possible.
