CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A fourth person has been arrested after a man died following a large fight last month in east Charlotte, police said.
Officers were called on June 9 to reports of a crowd fighting on Commonwealth Avenue. When police arrived, they didn’t find anyone who had been hurt, and those who were fighting had already left.
Later that night, officers learned that someone has shown up at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with serious traumatic injuries related to the fight.
On June 13, 23-year-old Brian Quiros died in the hospital. Detectives have now charged four suspects in his death.
Omar Almanza De La Garza, 26, Jordan Robertson, 26, and Jahdell Jermaine Lewis, 25, have been charged with murder, common law robbery, and conspiracy to commit common law robbery.
Jay Francis Romero Jr. was taken into CMPD custody Wednesday on the same charges.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
