CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they have charged the son of an 82-year-old woman with her 2014 death.
Irwin Feldman has been charged with the killing of Ina Feldman. Ina Feldman was found dead in her south Charlotte home on Torrey Pines Court.
CMPD said homicide detectives developed probable cause and made the arrest Thursday.
Police said Irwin Feldman came to them voluntarily.
Feldman's son said he discovered her dead in her home in the Carmel South community, off Carmel Road, when he went to check on her.
Sources close to the investigation told Channel 9 evidence showed that Feldman died from blunt force trauma.
Police said there is no reason for the Torrey Pines Community to be afraid of any outstanding suspects or violence.
CMPD would not comment on the motive in the case.
Irwin Feldman has been charged with murder, police said.
