CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board member says she was not aware of the allegations against Chair Stephanie Sneed when the board placed Superintendent Crystal Hill on leave.
Charlitta Hatch, District 1, posted a video on Facebook last night asking to hear from constituents ahead of Tuesday night’s vote on whether to replace Sneed as chair.
She praised teachers and students for continuing to move forward despite all of the drama at the district level.
“But overall, none of these adult distractions, it is my hope, are translating down into the classroom,” said Hatch. “So that gives me peace even as I send my little one off to school every day.”
Hatch says she will also ask questions about who directed the law firm Poyner Spruill to hire Raki McGregor as a consultant.
