CONCORD, N.C. — One of the state’s most popular tourist attractions is catering to kids.

Concord Mills announced new activities geared toward families with children, which are expected to launch in the spring.

They include:

  • LuminoCity Dino Safari: An immersive walkthrough dinosaur experience with 70 life-like dinosaurs coming to life. Some will be 46 feet tall. It’s arriving May 6.
  • An indoor jungle-themed playground.
  • A virtual reality experience at the SEA LIFE aquarium that puts guests “face-to-fin.”

“Families are looking for places where shopping and entertainment work together, and that’s exactly what we’re delivering this spring,” said Sarah Scire, director of marketing and business development at Concord Mills. “We’re bringing in can’t-miss experiences for kids — while adding everyday comforts like great coffee that make the visit better for parents, too.”

There are also areas designed for parents:

The Paranormal Cirque Specter, which runs from March 6-9.

Latte Factory: It will serve coffee beverages, specialty drinks and light bites in the Dining Pavilion.
