CATAWBA, S.C. — The York County Coroner’s Office says a man was found dead after a fire on McAllister Road in Catawba Saturday evening.
Officials identified the victim as 80‑year‑old Salvatore Noto of Catawba. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy and toxicology testing, however, are pending.
The York County Sheriff’s Office and the York County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire and Noto’s death.
