CHERAW, S.C. — A fire broke out at a home Monday night on Bomar Gardens Street, officials said.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire was still undetermined. Officials said the fire started in the garage area and spread into the attic of the house. Three cars were a total loss in the garage. Officials did not have an estimate on the amount of damages.
Officials said oxygen tanks in one of the vehicles in the garage exploded as well as ammunition stored in the garage.
It took 35 to 40 firefighters to control the blaze. They were dispatched at 9:21 p.m. and the fire was under control by midnight. The last crew cleared the scene at 3:43 a.m.
