2 firefighters briefly trapped after partial roof collapse in south Charlotte house fire

Two-alarm fire on Woods Corner Court

CHARLOTTE — No injuries were reported at a two-alarm fire Monday morning in south Charlotte, officials said.

Crews were called to the structure fire shortly before 9 a.m. in the 11000 block of Woods Corner Court, which is in a neighborhood off Marvin Road, Charlotte Fire officials said.

Viewer video shows flames shooting high into the air from the home.

Two firefighters were briefly trapped after a partial roof collapse, said Battalion Chief John Lipscak. They got out shortly after.

Crews got the fire under control in about 60 minutes.

MEDIC reported no injuries.

The cause is under investigation.

No additional details have been made available.
