NEWTON, N.C. — Catawba County deputies say a chase through several towns has ended with the suspect in custody.
Deputies said they attempted to pull over a car on Highway 16 south near Buffalo Shoals Road in Newton when the driver took off and led officers on a chase, which ended near the Highway 16 and business 16 intersection.
Jason Kearney, who was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant, was arrested.
Deputies said they found meth in Kearney’s car.
