Deputies hope to keep habitual felon behind bars in Iredell County

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Habitual felon Phillip Stroud is back in jail and Iredell County authorities are trying to increase his bond to keep him behind bars.

Stroud recently broke into the same beauty salon twice on Sandy Springs Road in Harmony.

Deputies noticed one of the salon’s front windows was broken out at about 1 a.m. Thursday. They searched the building and spotted Stroud inside.

Stroud is jailed on a $5,000 bond.

He was convicted in an armed robbery and assault at a beauty salon in Davie County in 2010.

He robbed the woman at knifepoint and threatened to kill her.

Stroud's rap sheet includes six felony charges and five misdemeanor charges.
