CHARLOTTE, N.C. — BlueDot Cares ranked the highest of Charlotte-area businesses found on Inc. magazine’s annual list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America.

Inc. ranked the home medical equipment company, founded in 2015, at No. 96 on its list after it posted revenue growth of 3,568% in three years. Kevin Bilderback founded BlueDot Cares to provide an option that he saw lacking in the health-care sector for people to better recover or age at home, according to the company’s website. He is also president and CEO of BlueDot Medical.

For the 2020 list, released on Wednesday, Inc. ranked private companies based on percentage revenue growth from 2016 to 2019.

A total of 59 companies in the Charlotte metro made the cut, logging combined median growth of 189%, $2 billion in revenue and 8,585 new jobs over the past three years. There were 41 local repeat honorees on the 2020 ranking.
