CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In the Carolinas, we’ve seen two different approaches to reopening. South Carolina with its accelerated approach and North Carolina with its slowed, phased approach.
Although many small businesses are worried they will not survive due to the coronavirus pandemic, some are pushing through and hoping to lead the way back.

“I think the economy is gonna speed up pretty quickly around here in terms of spending. Employment is going to be a little bit lagged," said Dr. Lou Pantuosco, head of Winthrop’s economics department.
