MUST SEE: Enraged man captured on video yelling at school bus driver

An enraged truck driver berated a school bus driver in front of a bus full of kids and it’s all caught on camera.

Jason Powell's 13-year-old daughter took the video on Friday afternoon.

"One thing I take very seriously is the safety of our kids, and for the truck driver, or any driver, to get out and scream at the bus driver. You don't know what their intentions are, (what) their state of mind is. So it's very concerning as a parent," Powell said.

Kids on the school bus told their parents and authorities the older-style tanker truck tried passing the school bus on Potter Road, but couldn't. When the bus stopped at an intersection, the truck driver got out.

Channel 9 showed the video to parents at Parkwood Middle School. Dexter Barber said, "That's just bad. That's hard to believe."

Now investigators are using the video to try to track down the angry man. Channel 9 blurred his face because he has not been charged with a crime. Union County Sheriff's Office Capt. Cody Luke said they are figuring out if they can file a charge for communicating threats.

"Our concern is that this driver got out, approached a bus full of young children and all but threatened the bus driver," Luke said.

The Sheriff's Office is working with the school district's security and transportation directors to find out if there's any other video.

"Even if there's no crime committed here, or we can't charge him with anything, his actions rose to the level that he could've endangered himself, the children and other drivers on the road," Luke said.

Investigators are trying to figure out who the man is and what company he works for.

Channel 9 contacted the school district, but a spokesperson said because this is an active investigation, the district won't comment.
