Estate sells for $5M, logging in as Meck County’s priciest home sale in July

CHARLOTTE — An estate in the SouthPark area sold for $5 million in July, logging in as Mecklenburg County’s most expensive home sale that month.

The 22-room home — located in the gated Morrocroft Estates subdivision, about a mile away from SouthPark mall — spans 13,713 square feet, with seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and three half-bathrooms. The luxury property includes several high-end features such as a basketball gym, movie theater, sports bar, wine cellar, outdoor pool and tennis court, according to its real estate listing.

Built in 2000, the home sits on a 1.98-acre lot.

It most recently hit the market in May, listed at $4.45 million.

Aubrey Grier of Dickens Mitchener was the listing agent, and Milas Dyer of Re/Max Executive represented the buyer, according to Realtor.com.
