A traffic stop turned into an unusual arrest in Davidson County.
The victim told police he was headed to Charlotte on Interstate 85 when he was pulled over by a fake police officer.
He said he knew something was wrong because the fake officer was driving a late model Camaro.
Before he knew it, the victim said the man pulled to the right side of his car and started yelling at him.
"I roll the window down and he's pointing a gun yelling, 'I'm a police officer, pull over you (expletive)' … racial slurs and everything," said victim Laron Glenn.
Instead of pulling over, the victim spotted deputies along the road.
They stepped in and arrested the suspect, Foy McNeill, police said.
McNeill was a former Randolph County Sheriff's deputy, but has not been certified in law enforcement anywhere in the state since 1999.
