Families frustrated after rain could limit number of attendees at Belmont Abbey graduation

BELMONT, N.C. — It’s graduation weekend for Belmont Abbey College students, and family and friends are coming to town to celebrate.

But with rain in the forecast, the school may be adjusting the amount of people who can attend.

“These kids deserve better than what was sprung on them this morning. To have such short notice, I couldn’t believe it,” said Alicia Brickford, who was prepared to watch her younger brother receive his degree with honors from Belmont Abbey College.
