LILESVILLE, N.C. — An Anson County family is asking for the public's to help find their missing service dog.
The Allen family, from Lilesville, said Buckshot, who serves as a diabetic alert service dog for their 4-year-old son, Remington Allen, has been missing since Wednesday.
Candy Allen said Buckshot went off into the woods to chase a cat and has not been seen since.
She said the dog does have a microchip and was wearing a green collar.
Authorities have been informed in the area.
The family has planned a search for Saturday at 2 p.m. Buck Wall Road and Blewett Falls Road in Lilesville.
Lilesville is between Wadesboro and Rockingham.
