CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A program in Catawba County supporting homeless families just received an extra boost.
The Sisters of Mercy of North Carolina gave $35,000 to the Family Care Center so they can hire a new social worker.
The center offers physical, social and emotional support to families transitioning into new homes.
