The Charlotte Fire Investigative Task Force deemed the fire accidental.
The fire started in an oven that was in self-cleaning mode. Employees were unable to extinguish the fire and evacuated. The fire spread to the roof causing an estimated property loss of $250,000, Charlotte Fire Department said.
The heavy response from firefighters was because the fire spread to the roof and it could have spread quickly. Firefighters had to cut holes in the roof to put out the fire.
