STATESVILLE, N.C. — Firefighters were called Tuesday afternoon to put out a fire at a church in Statesville.
Crews from the Statesville Fire Department responded to 815 Davie Avenue, which is the address for First Baptist Church.
Iredell County dispatch said four fire stations were sent to the church.
Chopper 9 flew over the church and saw some smoke damage outside one of the doors.
Officials said the fire started in the kitchen and is under control. They said no one was injured in the fire.
