FORECAST:
- A very soggy setup for this Labor Day.
- Off and on downpours will linger through this evening before winding down later.
- Severe weather isn’t expected, but it will be wet.
- Heavy rainfall will be likely especially in the mountains. This could lead to some flooding in the higher elevations.
- Tuesday and the ensuing days will be drier with limited rain chances as the warmth returns.
- Expect temperatures in the mid to upper 80s before a cool off later this weekend when the rain chances return.

Stay cool during hot weather:
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Stay in an air-conditioned room
- Stay out of the sun
- Check on relatives and neighbors
- Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
- Be careful when outside.
- If possible, reschedule strenuous activities until early morning or evening.
- Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
- Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing when possible.
